How to Verify If Your Taxes Have Been Paid: A Step-by-Step Guide for Sole Proprietors (FOP)
One of the most common tax issues for Ukrainian sole proprietors (FOPs) is failing to confirm whether their taxes and SSC payments have actually been credited.
⚠️ Important: Simply transferring funds does not guarantee that they are correctly applied. Due to incorrect payment descriptions, banking errors, or system delays — your taxes can be misapplied or not recorded at all.
GLS Law has prepared a short checklist to help you verify your payments independently.
🔎 Step-by-Step Verification Process
1️⃣ Log into the Electronic Taxpayer Cabinet
Go to cabinet.tax.gov.ua and sign in using your qualified electronic signature (QES).
2️⃣ Select the “Settlement with the Budget” Section
This section can be found in the left-hand navigation menu.
3️⃣ Check the key payment codes:
- 18050400 — Single Tax (Group 3);
- 11011700 — Military Levy;
- 71040000 — Unified Social Contribution (SSC/ЄСВ).
4️⃣ Click each code for details
A window will display:
- the accrual date,
- your tax liabilities,
- actual date and amount credited,
- the transaction code (typically 101 — successful credit).
5️⃣ Mind the processing times
Payment data may take up to 3 business days to appear in the system.
🔧 What if your payment wasn’t credited?
- Double-check the recipient account details.
- Verify the payment description — it must include the correct code and no typos.
- If necessary, file a statement with the Tax Authority and attach a copy of the payment order.
- For complex cases, GLS Law can assist in preparing a formal request and representing you in disputes.
